GGPoker has recently become a partner of Triton Poker, a firm responsible for organising world-famous live poker events. In fact, their sponsorship has already started with the Triton Poker Cyprus, a special edition tournament held at the beginning of April.
GGPoker has become one of the strongest partners of the main players involved in hosting high-level poker events. One of the biggest names, Triton Poker, has returned in style with an event held at the prestigious Merit Crystal Cove Resort & Casino in Northern Cyprus.
The series featured a variety of game options over the six days, including the popular No-Limit Hold’em, but also included others such as Short Deck Ante.
The addition of GGPoker and its alliance with Triton Poker means that the series has the backing of two big names in the industry. That means the two brands will be able to collaborate through live events such as the Triton Poker Series, using GGPoker’s online platform to offer members exclusive options to win seats at Triton events through exclusive satellite tournaments.
GGPoker’s own John Scanlon, GGPoker’s Director of Sponsorships and Live Events, commented that the Triton Series, since its inception, has strived to take live poker to another level, and that this drive to excel has been one of the stimuli for forging this partnership.
In fact, he says it’s not just about the size of the buy-in or the big-name players, but the quality of the production and the engagement the community receives that is a priority for the partnership.
Scanlon says the brands work in perfect synergy, with two powerful companies aligned with the common goal of bringing poker to the masses by offering premium products.
On the other hand, Andy Wong, the CEO of Triton Poker Series, commented that the poker brand is delighted with the new partner, as GGPoker has experience and momentum to develop new quality gaming features.
GGPoker is working on several projects at the same time. In addition to its partnership with Triton Poker, it is organising the “Road to Vegas” satellite tournaments that are being created under the umbrella of the new WSOP.
The partnership with Triton Poker has also allowed GGPoker to establish itself in Canada, where it is also coordinating other games and tournaments in the lead up to the WSOP.
The new World Series of Poker-focused website has been available and undergoing testing since April to allow players to get into the WSOP satellite events.
In addition, GGPoker has already confirmed that WSOP members will be able to take advantage of the Caesars Rewards programme for benefits such as hotel stays, perfect for attending the official live events taking place in the summer.
