GGPoker to promote “Road to Vegas” tournaments ahead of WSOP Main Event

The run-up to the World Series of Poker Main Event on Saturday, July 3 is being explored by GGPoker, which is looking to run a series of “Road to Vegas” style tournaments in preparation for the global event at the epicentre of poker.

The best way to pave the way for the next edition of the WSOP

For many, the $10,000 Main Event in Las Vegas is the highlight of the annual poker calendar. However, in the months leading up to the event, GGPoker will be hosting a series of online tournaments to get players warmed up.

These tournaments are intended to give international players a chance to take part in the big games in July, as well as, of course, adding to the spectacle.

GGPoker is already hosting a number of satellite tournaments under the umbrella of this year’s WSOP. Entry fees start at one dollar. Along with entry to the Main Event, players who win in these tournaments will be guaranteed their ticket and accommodation to attend the WSOP, as well as receiving other incentives.

Several prize packages are available to players. One includes a seven-night stay at Bally’s Las Vegas Hotel & Casino, a $1,200 travel allowance and a buy-in to the GGPoker Qualifier Last Longer promo, as well as access to the GGPoker Platinum Lounge and GGpoker merchandise.

GGpoker itself has confirmed that there are dozens of different packs, so the number of players who will win one of these reward packages could be high.

One of the key figures of the WSOP that raises more expectation is Daniel Negreanu. The Canadian legend confirmed his presence at this year’s WSOP and said he was eager to continue competing alongside players from all over the world.

Not for nothing, Negreanu himself confirmed that the WSOP is currently the most prestigious competitive poker series in the world.

The GGPoker and WSOP partnership

Recently, GGPoker partnered with the WSOP to launch an online poker room in Ontario through Caesars Entertainment, a company backed by the WSOP owner.

As part of this partnership, these tournaments have been held as an introduction to the WSOP’s higher level of competition. A result that, if this collaboration continues, could expand to new tournaments and competitions under the umbrella of the world’s largest competitive poker series.

GGPoker was launched in 2017 with a design created from scratch by a team of experienced players. Its premise is to provide safe, secure and player-friendly environments for players to enjoy their biggest hobby without neglecting an indispensable element: fun.
